DoorDash culture, WLB, PIP, and layoffs
I am interviewing for new grad position at DoorDash at SF. How is the culture at DoorDash? I have been reading mostly horrible reviews there about wlb, pip, and instant firing. Are these things true or exaggerated? My current company has awesome wlb but it’s not a known company Current TC: 122k DFW Expected new tc: no idea yet but new grad seems to be at 135k base at SF. Hmm Outside reviews are always horrible because ppl who are unhappy tend to post reviews . You always have option to quit if you want, just saying

I got an interview appointment from the DoorDash HR, he did not show up at the scheduled time I emailed him, he said sorry I forgot about it, let me call you tomorrow afternoon at 2:pm Then he no show again This is the most unprofessional recruiter I have ever met. And he works for DoorDash
I was also worried when reading all the blind comments about DD. My experience does not line up at all with what is said on blind. I had some really great managers, my team is nice and most significantly my WLB isn’t bad. But it seems like it depends on which team you’re on, since I’m sure people who complain do have real issues.
Depends on your luck, some teammates and managers are toxic.

It’s truly team dependent. Mine is not that bad but I do know teams that suck the soul out of u😭
Do you know anything about the homepage team?
As always it varies between teams but there are some very real systematic issues with DoorDash culture. On my team I’d say about half of the team regularly works on weekends

Pretty bad yes those things are true just look at how they handle leadership
