Have few rounds with gpu architects. Need insghts into the team like how's the work, sufficient funding and projects in pipeline, layoff scene etc YOE- 8 #samsung #apple #qualcomm
They will survive, but will they thrive.... perhaps not. Their technology comes from AMD, and they focus on low-end products. So, it's no where close to top tier HW teams.
If you want good steak, don’t go to KFC. Try Nvidia.
SAS cannot be trusted, they cancel projects here and there. Closed server project in 2013, tried to close down GPU at least 3 times. With AMD they are now surviving but not sure how long. They laid off a custom CPU team in 2019. Not a group to trust.
No, avoid. If your project isn't already run by Koreans, the Korean side will use politics to take control, and then they'll replace all the technical leadership with koreans who have intense micromanagement styles of leadership. Stay away.
Indian leadership is shit, avoid at all costs
First of all, nobody works for samsung in bay area, their comp is crap, so shitty even startups payment better than them, add to that all the visa slaves from India and those people becoming managers, it's the worst thing ever
They have been making this GPU since 2012. Haven't seen it anywhere thus far. Does that answer the question?
