Salesforce buying Tableau
Hey everyone, I am about to join Tableau in July and found out they are being bought by Salesforce. Is there anything I need to consider and know about in this situation? I have already accepted my offer last week. Do I get to keep my shares or will things adjust before my start date. I am hoping this was just great luck of accepting the offer right before it was bought. Just want to know the situation since I have never joined a company in the process of being bought.

Hope you have not told your current employer yet. If shit hits the fan forget about the offer and continue interviewing. You dont have to use all your h1 transfers and can just continue using your original h1 visa

No this should have little to no impact on you other than the increased stock price since you signed and the changed stock symbol by the time of your first vest. Ask your recruiter or hiring manager for more details. Also welcome to tableau.
Recruiter told me it shouldn't affect the role I applied for. Tableau will remain an independant company until the acquisition is fully completed. No changes to stock package. Will have more info in the afternoon. They are in meetings all day as others have said.
You might hit a home run here depending on how long the acquisition takes. Often times once the merger is fully completed all of your outstanding rsus vest immediately
