Potential rescind from Autodesk?

I signed an offer to start in a month at Autodesk. I see some stuff is going on with autodesk's stock with some accounting problems. Are there any chances my offer might get rescinded? I know Autodesk is pretty safe to layoffs and all, but I'm curious what you all think. Their career page seems full and they seem to heavily move towards AI.

No one is safe, be prepared for anything.

That bad? Even if the hiring spree is going strong? I've heard not even Meta rescinds after 30% stock drops, but I guess you're right.

I used to be in Autodesk, and I’ve been rescinded my offer in last year. Even worse, they laid off me just after 6 months I joined. Autodesk is not a great place for new employees, tbh

What was your position? They seem to be moving a lot towards ML roles.

Also, how can you get rescinded and then laid off after 6 months? If there's a rescind you wouldn't have started?

Could you elaborate? I've never heard anything bad except for the other guy in this thread.

I'm not sure what your alternatives are. Be wary before joining. There are a number of issues playing out at the moment. We have the accounting issue as you've heard on the news. Our customers don't like us, and new customers have been hard for us to find and retain (check social media and the Autodesk Community). There is also an ongoing bullying issue in the operating side of our business and there have been some annual quiet layoffs both this year and last. Autodesk are under pressure to improve their margins and this will inevitably result in more layoffs this year/next.

I would say it’s unlikely that anything seriously bad happens in the near term. Investments in core and trending areas will continue. Non core areas are at risk but that’s true in any public company.
