Does amazon PIP contractors?

Do contractors get pip over performance and how hard to get converted full-time ?

Just terminate contract

I know someone who was a contractor and performed poorly. Amazon ended the contract. No pip. About getting converted at Amazon, I don't know how easy that would be. You'd still have to clear the interview. So technically you can apply to any team. I would focus on getting experience, interview prepping, and putting down "SDE at Amazon (via contact)" in your resume, and applying to companies for full time roles.

How exactly would they put you on a performance improvement plan if you're not employed by them?

No company invests in PIP for contractors . They just terminate contract .

I manage contractors and no we don’t. We’re actually explicitly trained not to provide performance feedback or coaching because that can contribute to potentially creating an employee relationship. If we have performance issues we notify the agency and can terminate the agreement fairly immediately with a few exceptions.

Yehh.. They PIP even security people at front office. That's why you see new faces around OLR time.

I heard that they are going to PIP the prime members based on the ratio of number of ordered items vs returned.
