My manager wants me to drive the 1-1 discussion with him. Are there any specific topics you guys talk in your weekly or biweekly sync ups with your managers?
I have weekly meetings with my manager. It's driven by me, I usually start off pointing out things that we can improve on as a team, things which don't make sense as an internal customer using our products, etc. Usually for the first 5-10 minutes. Then we transition over to talking about my promo doc, any voids in it and how to fill it. We'll review any narratives that I've written about that week, and he'll leave comments on it for me to revise in the next week. This usually takes about 20 minutes. Then shoot the shit and catch up on a personal level for the last 5-10 minutes.
