10% layoffs at Panasonic in SoCal

This division has kept the parent companies (Panasonic North America and Panasonic) afloat but it looks like it is now time for this brand to size down to a battery company. We were served frozen hamburger patties and hot dogs in a local park for the holiday party. Yes, holiday party. Long gone are the days with parties with open bars in hotels and luncheon at Disneyland. They want to lay off 10% to help pay for the consultants they hired from Pleasanton and the millions of $ in bonus to the CTO while the average pay increase across the board was less than 1%. Pathetic! Do not join!

AWS. Because, you know, that is the future. We are 20 years behind on everything.

The new execs are just rehashing their failed digital stratgey from GE not an original thought from any of them. They’ll be gone in 2 years imo after failing to transform pac into a whatever the hell they are trying to do. I think its to piss off all the employees.

When are these 10% layoffs supposed to start? I have heard about a few people let go here and there but nothing to the 10% level (so far).
