1.5 to 2 crore annual comp offer achievable in India?
Planning to apply for a principal PM/Pgm/TPM roles in India and have a question - is 1.5 to 2 cr range realistic to expect? I know for sure that 1+ cr TC is doable (through network) but I am not sure if 2 cr is within the realm of possibility. I almost thought that’s not possible but then I saw few blinders suggesting 1.5-2 cr is something they have heard in their network. I want to move but also don’t want to get low-balled by either the recruiter or worst myself! Would really appreciate if anyone has real factual data points on TC from Amazon (L6/L7), Microsoft(L65+), Flipkart(no idea what level) etc. (TC = Base+Stocks). I have already looked at Blind threads but it seems more of speculations than factual. Also like in the US, are there reliable salary comp sites in India? thx YoE ~12, TC ~360.
Yeah, 1 cr is doable. I know for sure based on some posts on Naukri

Not sure about 10 but I remember seeing 12. Check some jobs from Amazon on Naukri. Not sure if Microsoft matches or beats. But the real question is if 1+cr is something they are openly advertising, then what’s the upper range that can still be achieved realistically.
Difficult to get 1.5-2 cr in India. L7 PM/TPM will be less than 1.5 cr but 1+ is possible
When you say 1+, is 1.3/1.4 doable? Are you speculating or have heard of real data? Thanks for the response anyway!
I know TC of many SDEs... For extrnal hires, L6 SDEs get 0.9-1.1 cr.. Getting hired as L7 SDE is rare, I have seen only 3 in last one year but no details on exact TC. PM/TPM salary differs based on org compared to SDE
I know a couple of L7 PMTs in India and their total comp is approx 1cr, don’t know the exact comp but +/- 10% from 1cr. Don’t know the break up between base and stocks
If your TC is 360, then you’re already making almost 3cr. Don’t quite understand what you’re looking for here.

The TC is inflated due to stock appreciation and about to get done with vesting over the years. Afaik, no IN presence for FB else its a no brainer for internal move.

Definitely not close to 1cr for L6 TPMs at Amazon. Most of the L6 TPMs are closer to 50lpa, I know one who moved to Google because of lack of promotion. Google offered around 75 lpa, good guy with ~15 yoe.
People have started using blind for day dreaming these days.
Actually that’s what the post is about....I myself was in disbelief until I heard anecdotal from 2 folks. Of course they may be exceptions but that’s what I want to verify and not shoot myself in the foot when negotiating.

How different is L65 to L66 comp wise
SDEs and data scientists with 10+ yoe are easily getting 1.5+ these days. The max TC I have heard for 10+ recently is 4cr..
Fricking hilarious!! Amit Agarwal, head of Amazon India, made 3.3 crore last financial year and you want us to believe a dev made 4 cr. awesome!!
Lets ignore the 4 cr for now since I know I am not worth that much anyway. Which companies are shelling the 1.5 cr offers you referred above.
