Question for management and HR:

Would you put employee on PIP to kick out who have with you for 25 long years?

And hire better performing another employee.

Is it good culture? What would you do?

(It's not about any recent personal news)

25 yoe better translate into being more efficient and productive then a new grad. Otherwise it's just the old adage of having 1 yoe 25 times.

That’s generally not how things work. However many YoE you have, it depends what your level is and if you’re meeting your expectations for that level when the times are good.

When the times are bad and your org is getting shut or whatever it varies by company but you’re maybe given a chance to find a different role in the same company and failing this you get kicked out. Again doesn’t matter how many YoE you have unless that correlated with level / how well networked you are at a company.
