265k for 7 YOE at amazon?

165k base 400k over 4 years RSUS Sign on bonus covers my current sign on which i forfeit if I leave so I don't count it as part of TC. The one downside.. the project looks more boring than my stuff at ebay. Believe it or not my eBay work has been ok, and my manager is good, I'm just underpaid. I have seen better offer for 7 YOE on blind. Am I low balling? I've never really negotiated offers, they always have been a good step above what I was making before. But I'm starting to see the value in negotiating, thanks to this community.

Even Qualtrics could give a better offer (L5) than that.

In a similar boat, knowingly underpaid, but projects at Google and Facebook look very boring relative to my current project - i actually turned down offers from both companies in the past six months. Feel compelled to jump ship for higher TC, but not ready to work on lame projects with limited level of responsibility. Let me know how it goes.

What project are you in Samsung?

Samsung vtPX83 May 3, 2019

Can't really answer that without giving away my identity. Samsung has issues for sure, the upside is that you're given enormous amounts of responsibility - mostly due to mgmt ignorance. That can be addictive for the right type of person. I find lots of the big tech companies in the Bay have too many cooks in the kitchen, and the atmosphere isn't remotely competitive - not an alpha environment. God bless them, but Google and Facebook employees are way too nice. Need a bit more cut-throat to my day-to-day. Amazon seems a bit more competitive, but I heard politics there is next-level.
