Given we are 9 years+ into a bull marker, any thoughts on a good rebalance strategy for 401k? How does this sounds? Large cap stocks - 25% Mid/Small cap stocks - 25% Bonds - 25% International stocks - 15% Cash or Blended mutual funds like target 20xx - 10%
Crypto: 25% Blackjack and Sports betting: 50% Straight cash homie: 20% Stocks/Bonds: 5%
Invest in China and India specific funds over the next few years slowly. The world order will change from Europe - America centric to Asia centric in next 10 - 20 years in marked way.
Large US at 25 percent Small US at 15 percent Dividend stocks at 10 percent International developed at 10 percent Emerging markets at 10 percent Municipal and LT bonds at 20 percent Gold and Natural resources at 5 percent Crypto and Other gambling at 5 percent
Why bother with a blended fund? They do nothing but muddy your asset allocation. Yours is light on international equities for my tastes but otherwise reasonable.
How can you invest in gold and natural resources through fidelity?
Open a "brokerage link" account with them. You will have to physically print out and mail in a consent form. Then you can pretty much buy any asset you want with your 401k money.
How close are you to retirement? Your balance between US and foreign stocks is off. Especially after the bull market in the US
US market is still the most reliable and will be for the next few years. So I always would want to be 50 percent US. Don’t think all of a sudden the US equities are going to go down.
What allocation would you recommend between US and foreign stocks?
We have a minimum of 1 year left in this bull market. Go heavier on large cap stocks. They go up faster than small cap stocks during the last leg of a bull market.
