Another kid on the way. Looking for a bigger car. 1) Pacifica Hybrid sounds good because less trips to gas station. 2) Pilot and Highlander look comfortable too 3) I can afford Tesla, Audi and BMW 7 seaters and I like them more, but I am not sure if there is enough value for the incremental cost (from safety, comfort perspective). Edit: VW Atlas is my choice. Any red flags? If you own one of these, what do you like? TC: 350k
Don’t get the X5. It won’t seat 3 kids in car seats. Also you didn’t Bing this? Wtf. Volvo XC90, VW Atlas, Subaru Ascent and Acura MDX should be on your list. How basic do you want to be? Honda is super basic. So go for the Acura.
We have the non hybrid Pacifica (2 yrs now) and are quite happy with it. We went with 8 seats because we get family visits and the extra seat allows us to fit all in one car.
The Odyssey drives way nicer than the Pilot and has more features. That’s what we ended up with after a long search for a 3 row. Also check out the VW Atlas, we really liked that too.
Minivans have more utlitity than any SUV, the sliding doors make for easy entry and exit in parking lots, the seats fold so it can haul much more than an SUV. SUV s are frittata, they are neither sporty nor have much utility other than taking up more space and making their drivers look like cocks
Pacifica is very nice, lot of. Good features. Roomy and runs great for a. Minivan. Go for it and lease it.
We went through a Pilot, an Odyssey and finally settled on an XC90. We have three kids as well and liked the XC90s combo of being able to fit the kids but also being more fun to drive and more comfortable for long road-trips. Nothing wrong with the Honda vehicles we just found the seats to be way more comfortable in the XC90.
I used to drive an X5 but it had frequent mechanical and electrical issues so I sold it and now very happy with a Lexus RX L. Have you taken a look at it ?
How many kids?
