7 seater recos?

Another kid on the way. Looking for a bigger car.
1) Pacifica Hybrid sounds good because less trips to gas station.
2) Pilot and Highlander look comfortable too
3) I can afford Tesla, Audi and BMW 7 seaters and I like them more, but I am not sure if there is enough value for the incremental cost (from safety, comfort perspective).

Edit: VW Atlas is my choice. Any red flags?

If you own one of these, what do you like?

Minivans have more utlitity than any SUV, the sliding doors make for easy entry and exit in parking lots, the seats fold so it can haul much more than an SUV.

SUV s are frittata, they are neither sporty nor have much utility other than taking up more space and making their drivers look like cocks

Mercedes sprinter wagon in obsidian black metallic. Mercedes symbol cancels out vanishness, fancy black makes it look ominous and will be the most useful vehicle for a family.

Why all the hate for minivans? They can haul stuff and kids. Versatile as fuck.

You can even have sex comfortably in there.

Hate to say it, but you are destined for a minivan if you want functionality. Any of the SUV / crossover options are OK, but the 3rd row isn't nearly as accessible or an functional as a minivan.

Check out the 3rd row of the Tesla X - it is almost non functional it is so small. Also be sure to check how much cargo room is left when you out the 3rd fow up. You need something big enough to carry all that kid crap you need to tote with you everywhere, let alone when you want to pack suitcases, groceries or anything else.

FWIW, I had 4 kids and always resisted the minivan. I drive SUVs and survived OK, but I can tell you for sure the minivan is way more practical. There is a reason why 3/4 of suburban houses have one in the driveway.

Currently drive the Nissan pathfinder and it is good for space and functionality.

Since you’re driving a van let me guess. Title is senior manager or less? Per above this is killing your career. You need to swap to an SUV with roof top storage like Director+ does.

I just find it very political you’d try to convince someone to limit their career with a van

Dammit, you've caught me. I had a master plan to systematically bring down Facebook by impacting automotive purchase decisions 1 employee at a time. Plot foiled...

Or maybe a just have a vendetta against this one particular anonymous person? I'll have to find a different way to ruin their career now. They owe you a debt of gratitude for saving them.

I had better turn my sights on someone else. If only I could think of someone to go after.... hmmm...

Great car. Go with SEL Premium (top most) option.

Glad you took my recommendation! They use top notch atlas at fb. The ride is comfortable and it’s so spacious. I recommend going back and trying out different seats.

Only red flag is that it’s a brand new car so the kinks may not have been worked out. Haven’t seen any bad data on reliability yet though.

Boring is best. But an 8 seater top trim minivan... hands down best choice.. safety insurance utility space you name it.. if you want style, get a used Porsche along with it for 8k

Just bought 7seater and I evaluated these cars. Also, I wanted to buy Certified Preowned (CPO) car instead of new. Too much depreciation occurs in expensive new cars

    1) Acura MDX - Good car. No good deals on CPO
    2) VW Atlas - Super spacious but long wait time for deliveries. I thought I will buy this new one. There are no CPOs available in the market
    3) BMW X5 - Absolute dumb car. 3rd row is useless
    4) Mercedes GL/GLS 450 - Amazing car. 2nd row seat is slightly less functional but overall spacious. Lot of good deals on CPO
    5) Volvo XC90 - Great car. Didn’t get good deal on CPO. Almost equally spacious as Mercedes GL/GLS450

I ended up buying GL/GLS450. Safety, spacious, great deal on CPO.

We went through a Pilot, an Odyssey and finally settled on an XC90. We have three kids as well and liked the XC90s combo of being able to fit the kids but also being more fun to drive and more comfortable for long road-trips. Nothing wrong with the Honda vehicles we just found the seats to be way more comfortable in the XC90.

The Odyssey drives way nicer than the Pilot and has more features. That’s what we ended up with after a long search for a 3 row.

Also check out the VW Atlas, we really liked that too.

We have the non hybrid Pacifica (2 yrs now) and are quite happy with it. We went with 8 seats because we get family visits and the extra seat allows us to fit all in one car.

Don’t get the X5. It won’t seat 3 kids in car seats. Also you didn’t Bing this? Wtf.

Volvo XC90, VW Atlas, Subaru Ascent and Acura MDX should be on your list. How basic do you want to be? Honda is super basic. So go for the Acura.
