These are the TC’s for two companies I am considering right now. Does anyone have experience with CoL differences? Are these salaries comparable?
I would take NYC, you can level up and jump to many other opportunities there versus ATL.
Can you elaborate on what u mean by that? Like hopping companies? Sorry if that’s a dumb question.
Many other companies have offices in NYC. Not so much in Atlanta. If you want to work somewhere else, it is easier to find a new job in NYC.
Nyc
NYC to start the career.
You can use online calculators to find tax differences and some COL differences. But keep in mind with COL that it doesn’t scale linearly for most people. Like nY might be 30% higher COL but only for rent so it’s just a 10k difference in COL or something.
Nyc
NYC no doubt
NYC no brainer
150K is pretty good even in NYC. Take it

150 isn’t much in nyc but 85 is very comfortable in Austin. What’s your yoe?
It’s actually Atlanta and I’m a new grad.
My bad. Atlanta is even more affordable than Austin but I guess it boils down to where you want to spend your 20s. I’d take 150 in ny any day over 100 in Atlanta - there’s so much more opportunity in NY
