So instead of 5, 15, 40, 40 - you will get all the stocks out of those 100% in proportion of your tenure, will you leave the company? Is there anything else than stocks that is binding AMAZONians to the company?
The vesting schedule isn’t what you described. Also, I’ve been here for 5 years and don’t plan on leaving soon, to hopefully answer whatever it is you’re reaching at here.
What kinds of refreshers did you get and what kind of vesting schedule?
Year 1+2 are signing bonus and you get a small stock grant at end of year 2 (about 5% of your initial grant). Year 3+4 the rest of the stock from your signing contract vests. By the time you’re in year 4 your total comp is about 50% stock. I got promoted and had a title change that both resulted in ~20% raises that sort of messed with my mix of base pay, but I’m a non tech employee with base pay of 87k and 205k targeted compensation each year, so uh, I get plenty of stock at this point.

This scenario is clear as mud. What do you mean 100% in proportion to your tenure? Are you just trying to say equal vesting over four years like every other company on the planet?
No... 4 years to 100% So how much for 1.5 years? This is not same as saying 25% a year.
It’s still totally unclear what the hell you are trying to say.
