Not very good as it is not part of the main business. SW folks are always the first in line for layoffs. I donāt recommend.
I donāt know what pipe you smoked from. But our entire line of dGPUs and APUs donāt run without a driver.
Iāve been in AMD for a long time. During the rough times, SW folks were the first to be cut. It started from SW folks from tools, which were all outsourced to India now. then SW folks doing workload optimization. Then SW folks doing libraries optimization. Then SW folks doing compilers. They didnāt cut as much on HW side, besides validation and debug. I saw lots of friends leaving one after another from 2012 to 2015. Now times are much better, but nothing will remove from my memory having SW friends suddenly being lay-off one after another.
You're like 3 years late to get that 10x on the stock... so joining now... š
Nah. Tired of Qualcomm.
I feel ya... is anyone rested @QC?
