AWS interview cleared but no offer yet
Interviewed for AWS a month ago. The recruiter informed that I cleared the interview but the hiring team doesnt have a position. I have been tossed around with various teams but no offer yet. Has anyone been through the same and is this expected?
I am in the same boat. I was told I had an all inclined loop and I turned down the offer bc the role was w an org I didn’t want to work for. I said I was interested in some AWS roles and the recruiter said he would get with hiring managers and get back. We found some open recs two weeks ago and radio silence since

This does happen sometimes with SDMs. For SDEs there are always teams with openings but SDM is much harder. You can always look yourself on Amazon.jobs and then tell your recruiter about what you want
I did this for a security engineering role and I haven’t heard back in a little. One role did respond but asked if I would be willing to reinterview.
Really starting to wonder what the hiring climate at Amazon is right now. I’ve seen multiple posts like this and today is their career fair for filling 30000 jobs. I’m wondering if they are stalling to see if they can fill positions with the career fair people? Are there less positions than they are advertising and they are doing these things to make it appear like they are still growing exponentially?
