I have an offer for Adobe as a new grad but I’m hesitant to take it because it’s in San Jose. I know Adobe is known for WLB but is it a great place to start a career in terms of learning and growth?
TC?
Some teams are really good. I recommend SJ over SF. Lots to learn, you'd notice both good and bad engineering practices.
Awesome thanks for the info
Why not continue with Yelp?
Adobe is a solid company. I am at Apple now and really miss the wlb/company’s culture of Adobe. As far as an opportunity to grow, it depends on the team. Adobe has some good eng teams and decent infra (for some teams). There are some ML and AR opportunities as well. If things don’t work out, having adobe in your resume is not that bad. Many still hop to great companies after adobe.
When you say Adobe isn’t that bad on your resume are you implying that there is something bad about Adobe?
I get calls yearly from FB, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Amazon since starting at Adobe. I would say it's been great on my resume.

Why not try interviewing with other companies? A top tech company on your resume as a first job would help you in the long run
Would Adobe not be considered a top tech company? Or by top tech do you mean FAANG?
Yes FAANG !! Adobe is not tier 1 in my opinion but i heard good things though. Did you try interviewing at one of faang?
