Coming out isn't a particular issue, but I wasn't quite ready to embrace a trans label. Now i am. What advice do you have for a new woman in Tech?
Don't have much advice for you but know you aren't alone. 💜⚧

No one cares. Just do your job.
Twitter is very accepting from what I've seen
a few people in my office came 'out'.. it's Seattle, no one cares as long as you do your job and people are generally supportive.
I'll give you the same advice another trans woman shared with me -it's something she was totally unprepared for. She knew there would be challenges if she didn't "quite pass" and she was prepared to deal with them. What she wasn't prepared for is how bad the reality of being a woman in tech is when she started "passing" and switched jobs where people didn't know her history. After many job changes and being labeled as an aggressive bitch constantly(tits grew, behavior and demands to be respected stayed the same), she quit tech field for good.
Thats sad :(
has she found a better field/job? (& if so, which field / job type? )
If you're at MSFT I know someone who may have insights
If you're in the SF Bay Area, most companies will likely be very accepting. As a gay guy, most of the places I've worked have been very open and sexuality has been a non-issue. We have had at least one trans person at my current company, and from my perspective, they were as accepted as everyone else.
Be competent at your job. Meet the expectations and responsibilities to the best of your ability and leave the diversity card at the door. Personally orientation/gender/ et al have zero bearing on how I view anybody as a person. It's all about the content of your character. If you are the most qualified person and execute then that is all that matters. Be you live life and have fun.
Work at a big company with a huge HR operation. You'll be fine.
