Some background. Last April a recruiter at google reached out on linked in and I started the interview process. I made it to the leadership interview and bombed out. The only feedback I got was there were other candidates better suited. I should mention this was for cloud sales engineer in the DC area. About a month later I reached out to the recruiter about re-appying in the future but never got an answer. Since then I have gotten certified in aws, all three associate certs and today just passed the Google cloud architect exam. I have solid experience consulting in the DC area. My question is how best should I re-apply? Should i just apply on the website or reach out to the recruiter? I fear if I just email her again she won't answer. Is it too soon to apply again? I feel like the one area where I was lacking I have worked to resolve and now I am certified in gcp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Start your own company and get google ventures to back you then wait till they buy you. Much easier than making it through the interview process
It’s 2019 and this still holds true
Try emailing the same recruiter again with this info.
If you can talk to a human being, that's much more effective than going through an automated system. Hopefully the recruiter still works at Google; there's a lot of turnover.
Talk with your recruiter. If they think you'll have great chance (sounds like you've never been Hiring Committee stage), they'll working on process. Typically the waiting period is 12-18 month since your last interview.
There are so many good companies besides Google, don't waste your time trying for a specific company.
That's a fair point. Honestly, it's not so much google but the chance to work with gcp and machine learning on the daily basis. Gcp is pretty slick.
Are you more interested in improving gcp(gcp infra) or using gcp.If its the later , you potentially open yourself to a lot of opportunities. if former you still have a few competitors you can try Amazon, Azure (developed cloud) or Walmart Oracle (if you want to do from scratch)
I'm not sure of all the stages. It was after the leadership interview. I had already been in three interviews before the leadership interview.
