Google: Apparently a single person in HC killed my offer. Recruiter strongly recommended trying again in 1 year. Walmart Labs: manager liked me, but director said I was strong L3 but not L4. Team is only hiring L4s. They never asked me to write a single LOC— interview process was strange and level determination was bogus, even the manager agreed. Lyft: I got the offer (275k) but I would’ve had to move. +1 was super against it, so I declined. What do I do? I feel like my hands are tied. 3 YOE.
Doing the same here. Have to play the odds, you'll eventually get something
I wish I had the energy to continue the search. I think I’ll step back for a bit and recharge.
Would've had to move from where?
SoCal to Bay Area. Huge QoL decrease. No offense to those there, I’m just very used to SoCal.
You did get one... You got Lyft. I don't think you're doing bad at all. Your conversion rate is good, it's a numbers game
If you are looking at a change I am hiring here at Amazon. PM me if you're interested.
There are a couple of Amazon offices in So Cal
I keep getting messages from Amazon recruiters (I’ve gotten reached out twice this week) but when I reply and ask about SoCal positions they never answer back.
Take the offer and replace +1 with +2's
