Advise on Nest/google offer

I interviewed both, neat did mention they are part of google hardware now, but at present they are still different hiring process. I am expecting l4 from google and l5 from nest. Assuming comp are very similar. Which one is preferred.

I am more interested in google team and work, but also wondering joining nest as l5 and internal transfer after a year to google as l5. Might be easier than fighting promo as l4 to l5 at google.

Any suggestions?

I'd take the L5 offer. As you mentioned, Nest is part of Google now so there's basically no reason to take an L4 if you have an L5 on the table...

I used to have similar situation. Hr told me level at nest should be the sAme as that at google. That is even true back when nest is part of alphabet

I am also applying to a Google bet. Recruiter said they can give 250k max for the position before the interview. I have 14 YOE in a niche hardware. Do you think they can match my startup offer of 310k ?

Is it for a hardware or software role? If software, I would always go with Google
