Affirm or Samsara?
Have two offers for integration/partner engineering roles at Affirm and Samsara. Affirm is offering a little more in TC (marginally higher base, signing, RSUs), Samsara does 401k matching (4%). Any thought about these two companies?
Personally I like what samsara works on more but it's up to you. Pick based on team and company
I really like it here, and I feel partner eng people are pretty important to our business (not on that team). On the other hand, have a few friends at Samsara, they don’t hate it.
Samsara is more selective.
Offer breakdown for each?
Samsara is a far more interesting company, with a genuine future-looking business model with far reaching implications for the trucking industry as a whole Affirm just makes money by charging poor people interest for products they can barely afford. Feels like a no brainier
Samsara. They're kicking ass and the team is great.
Samsara is a waaaaaayyyyyyy better company, building really cool shit.

If the offers are that close I would choose based on my own interests IoT vs consumer loans and which team I felt a better vibe from
