Inspired by the huge "Net worth at 30" thread, I'd like to start a similar one but add a critical and relevant ingredient.

Age
TC/NW (net worth)
Happiness (details appreciated, but not required)

This app highlights everyone's drive for the almighty dollar, but rarely do people talk about the non-monetary costs/rewards associated with their financial goals.

------

30, TC180K, NW360k?
6.5/10 happy

Could be a lot worse off, but I haven't really settled in and found the sweet spot. I have incredible stories and general life experiences, but just went through a breakup and, therefore, don't have immediate house and family plans (which really give a sense of purpose). Could also use a bump in TC to establish family viability in the Bay Area without having to commute 90 minutes each way.

9.5/10 - I love the freedom of being single and independent in the Bay! I could literally buy a ticket to Africa in the middle of the week and it would be okay. Work isn't too stressful and I find time to enjoy the little things in life that we see everyday but still miss out on like sunsets, music and working out. I guess I'm just happy and grateful with what I have. Also like Genie tells Aladdin, there isn't enough money and power to satisfy anyone's greed in this world, so let's not drink out of that cup! Maybe it would be nice to share the happiness with a partner, hence the -0.5 pts.

Definitely get your apartment situation together. Pick a good neighborhood with lots of professional women. Buy some decent furniture. You'll be in good shape then.

Maximum return is on investing in becoming an interesting person with a genuinely interesting life that people would actually want to be a part of. Yeah of course, meet people, but that's the trivial part and the superficial fake stuff is tiny.

Take up cool hobbies. Travel the world. Build cool shit. Become an interesting, happy and fulfilled person and stop stressing about these tiny optimizations while ignoring the real game.

Just the core idea of thinking this way would be a massive turnoff to most girls, and it comes through as subtext to the interaction. And if you actually become a thoroughly attractive dude, like you have a life people want to latch onto and get a piece of, you don't need to think about this at all.

Mostof my networth comes from my investment into commercial buildings that I bought in NYC during the bubble. Bought ranging from 150k-200k and now they measure from 2-5mil each(queens,ny area/flushing queens area,Brooklyn area)
