Sad reading this article about abuse on Airbnb, don't you guys care about scammers on Airbnb? IPO hopes has got your profit blinders on. Sad you all let this happen, hosts trump guests on Airbnb. https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/43k7z3/nationwide-fake-host-scam-on-airbnb
Why blame Airbnb for 0.01% of user experience? Blame the scammers, not the company. Scammers and exploiters are inevitable anywhere
This would be a great Blind poll. I bet most people would be willing to pay 25% more for a hotel just to avoid the usual Airbnb bs. If you don't get a "super host" residence, does Airbnb even make sense? (Unless you're cash strapped of course, in which case you probably shouldn't be going to flipping Miami in the first place)
There's massive scam on Airbnb with fake homes and fake identities. Obviously they're not doing enough. But who cares if they can cash out on IPO whilst showing insane growth .
As the article says, Airbnb has zero incentive and clearly isn't trying to address this. Scammy listings are still listings. Can't make money if you remove the scammers
I had a shitty Airbnb experience once. Really had to bug support for a month but got a full refund and my hotel stay paid.
The chance of unprofessional landlord to outright scams is huge. It is a no brainer to avoid it to not ruin your vacation.
What's the point of getting Airbnb these days if prices are on par with hotels?
VRBO is way better
My personal experience w airbnb has been good. Have not stayed in a hotel for years. I think last time we stayed in a hotel they gave us one bed for three people.
I get a hotel. Because I’m an adult.
Same
Thé fact that these hosts make you take out my own trash and put all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher like what is the fucking cleaning fee for
