I recently got offer from Airbnb sfo for l5. Numbers: Base:215 Rsu: $800k Signing: 45 Profile: 6.5 yoe Microsoft 64, Seattle My recruiter told me that they will be giving rsus based on latest 409a valuation ($126.5 per rsu). I had heard that they usually give rsus based on latest funding round( which was in 2017 at $105 per rsu). Can somebody from @airbnb or somebody who recently got the offer confirm on this? Note: if you have questions regarding interviews, DM me.
Amazing offer
Wtf. 600k ?? π―
415 + bonus
Private companies have no actual share value so what your recruiter actually means is that they are giving you 800k/126 = 6350 units of RSU. If you value them at 105 you can calculate your new offer accordingly. The actual dollar value is immaterial anyway.
Thanks! My question was: has somebody got rsus at $105 from them recently?
Someone from Airbnb can comment on that but what I'm saying is that's immaterial. Your offer is of 6350 RSU and not 800k. Recruiter is doing that math and giving you a dollar amount. So IMO what you should be asking is how much RSUs do L5s get on average :) my 2 cents of course
Are you in need of a house keeper? Cos I'm available.
Great offer. My friend there said the average quality of the engineers is low and not much to learn, but pay is awesome.
I got quoted the same RSU price ($126) for my L5 offer. Didn't take it though.
Very similar offer recently - 6000 RSUs (at $105 which does not matter).
What's the vesting schedule and is there a health bonus and what percentage?
one year cliff. quarterly vest then.
A friend was offered 7500 rsu earlier this year
