Lol, this article pretty much disproves conservative paranoia about industry leadership having a political agenda to push “diversity”.
It’s not paranoia, they are very open about it - at least at Microsoft. Last year 50% of our interns were female. CS/STEM graduation numbers show as well as leadership clear and unapologetic message show the intentional bias.
Given that there are 50% women in the world's population, that number seems fine to me. Or I guess you prefer being surrounded by dudes at work? I find the sausage party boring so I welcome as many women as they can hire.
