Alternate options for candidates with last H1 chance
I guess there are working professionals who have a last chance for H1B this year. What are the other options you guys are considering? Like Day1 CPT, Canada PR, etc. Also, do companies like FB Google Uber Lyft Microsoft accept candidates on Day1 CPT?

OPT expiring before next year H1 filing. So this is the last chance
IIRC Facebook now requires you to have at least 2 years of OPT left in order to be considered. Why do you have to change company at this time? Can’t you stay at Amazon and transfer to an international office and come back on L1?
Ok. I remember one of my friends facing this issue at Netapp during 2007 lottery. He joined some crappy college and continued the job for a while on CPT or OPT.

Those colleges are a double edged sword - look up “Harrisburg university of science and technology”. You might be able continue working with their day1 CPT scheme but when your H1B lottery gets picked, you might face more scrutiny. I’d be careful.
Join ITU university , work on CPT
Amazon will transfer you somewhere provided you are in good standing, they apply for H1B or L1B depending on what works out sooner. Don’t go CPT route, you’ll get more scrutiny in future.
Ask Amazon for a transfer to Canada or some other country and they will apply for h1b again as well..
