Am I SMTS or LMTS at Salesforce?

Have PhD in physics and 3-yrs post PhD experience in AI and ML.

Recently recruiter reached out to me. I've been targeting MSFT L63 and AMZN high L5 or low L6 in recent job search.

I looked at levels FYI and it looks like SMTS maps to L62 or L5? Is senior at Salesforce not the same as senior elsewhere?

What's the TC diff between SMTS vs LMTS, and is there a significant job scope difference?

If that's your only experience then 63 at MSFT or lmts at sfdc are both pipe dreams. I mean yeah, you could probably fool the interviewers but you're gonna have a bad time afterwards.

We rarely hire eng with 3 years as smts or lmts, only if you are really good at design and algorithm

I think you would join an MTS and then get promoted after at least one year, depending on your skills
