So far Leetcode problems solved: 130
Easy : 21
Medium : 78
Hard : 31

Accepted rate: 44%
Wrong answer: 30%
TLE: 15%
RuntimeError: 10%

I solve all the problems myself. When I don't know the solution, I do look at the discussions after a while to be inspired to make my own solution.

No, you need 100% acceptance on 150+ hard problems or you work at eBay with me

You need to unlock the secret 110% acceptance rate to work for the true “A” in FAAANG: Albertsons

No way to tell. There are people who have made it into G/FB after practicing 30 LC, as well as those who couldn't make it even after 300.

No, because you’re going about prep completely wrong.

Learn and refresh DS/algo concepts via LC. Once you’re doing ok, do mock interviews. Way better use of your time than LC spamming past 50-80 questions.

There is no correlation between number of leets and success at fb/G. Someone can fail even completing all leetcode questions. Depends how well you understand also/ds

I think there probably is a correlation between # of leets and passing fb/g. Doing 200-300+ leets optimizes your chances of learning a significant fraction of the necessary material

Dont be dumb, have you interviewed at google ever? I mean there is no hard limit on number of questions you solved at leetcode. What matters is if you were able to solve all questions at the interview in given time.
If you think there is a correlation, tell me after how many number of questions one will DEFINITELY crack google.

Yes it increases the chance but how can one be sure. If it was just about 300 questions then everyone would be at google. Competition is way tougher that you think. Most ppl who attempt google are already 300+ , but not everyone clears the interview

I didn’t have an on-site at google. I had a phone screen, solved 2 problems in 25 min but got rejected. Presumably due to a missed edge case I had. I was surprised.

I passed on sites at FB though. I have done about 300 leets lifetime.

Would I have passed at 0 leets? Definitely not. I felt myself getting better well into the 200s. I probably could go further and continue to get better. My intuition for classifying unforeseen problems by algorithms/data structure/ problem type has gotten a lot better. I can even get some dynamic programming questions now. When I was at 0 leets I couldn’t do that to save my life.

Leets definitely help you get better.

Juniper, it’s a correlation somewhere between 0 and 1, I don’t know what It is exactly. There is no guarantee but each leet solved increases odds.

TBH 130 is usually not enough and 44% acceptance rate sounds low to me unless you are using leetcode editor and doesn't test locally before submit. I did 260 LC, mostly medium with 59% acceptance rate.

Wow that's very high! Did you actually implement all the code yourself? Did you make sure to not copy other ppls code?

No wonder u work at Snapchat!

cannot say all, but at least 95% all by myself. have to confess that this is my second round of leetcode though. I solved about 150 questions 4 years ago

  • In terms of coding interviews, yes you are more than ready. I did around 100 in total, with 50 easy, 40 medium and 10 hard and coding rounds went really well. Do focus on the design round side by side

Nah I think you are good. The rate might be artificially low since you are doing a high % of hard and medium

Maybe. I think to be on the safe side go to 300. Don’t bother with so many herds do medium and easy mostly.
