Reasonable to go from: Amazon L6 400 TC -> Google T5 400 TC? Seattle / Kirkland Ignoring initial cash; focused on long term, steady state Or is the band for T5 too low?
L6 must be sde ridding the stock up.
I think calculating based on current stock price, it would be > 400 (valued when at 1k price I think) but not focused on that; just TC not based on “riding” any kind of stock increase (unreasonable to expect that will last forever)
Too low in my humble view but perhaps you poorly performed in your interviews. T7 is a group manager, so you are 2 levels away at Google. Given 5-7 years for each level of a stellar performance, you would be 10-14 years from becoming a leader.

Ah, the same website, https://www.levels.fyi that till recently had L9 level at Amazon (btw, L9 doesn’t exist) and incorrect comp data? If you feel that you r still junior, do it. But deep down you feel that T5 is too low, why posting here otherwise ;)
What's your role?
T5 annual TC won’t sustain 400k disregarding stock appreciation unless one gets the top rating. But top rating means performing at T6 or above.
This is what I was looking for... I had assumed this based on the data I’ve seen. Thank you for the insight.
I moved L6 to T4 (albeit I was a recently promo'd L6). My impression is the Amazon leadership bar for L6 is above that for T5 but the T5 tech bar is higher. A strong Amazon L6 should have to tools to get to T6 at Google.
Just curious, why did you move from Amazon L6 to Google T4? If you didn't get a T5 offer, why not wait a year and try again instead of getting down leveled?
It was a project I really was excited about and imo it will provide me with more valuable experience in the long run.
