A recruiter reached out on linkedin in for a management role, which I agreed to talk to them about because I like to know what options are out there even when I’m generally content. After a recruiter screen call and an info call with the hiring manager, I agreed to start the interview cycle. The recruiter got back to me in email on Tuesday with the vague “I have an update to share” message and after a couple of back and forth threads, we’re set to followup by phone Thursday. So what do you all think the outcome will be? Polite rejection or moving forward? I’ll share the actual results once I have them tomorrow either way!
Just keep yourself busy and be on the cal on Thur. Don’t overthink it.
I already did and they said it was a little low for the role actually, so I agreed to keep talking to them. Ha! Will see if I make it through to on-site and take it from there.
Ah, the self-inflicted low ball. Hard to come back from that one.
I’m gainfully employed, love the work, and just waiting for the promotion to open up at my current employer. That’s the joy of taking the interview when you don’t need a job. :-)
It was a no for the original role, how about this other one we are about to open up? So... damned if I know!
Considered the option and am staying at TMO. May be less money near term, but like my prospects better for now.

In my experience Amazon's rejections are automated emails. Never has been a call. But who knows...
