What's the range for recent AS hires at Amazon? Will be returning after an internship, starting next year, and the recruiter is now asking for my target compensation. Competing offer for postdoc roles only, and 2 years experience before PhD.
250k all in.
Do you think that's average? Or more on the high side?

I got target 267 a year ago (although stock growth means I’ll make more than that). I year experience at a startup after PhD. 2ish years relevant experience before PhD. Seattle. I think that was at the top of the band a year ago.
Did you negotiate them? If so what was your approach? And what was the initial offer?
Initial offer was 220. My previous company countered (startup, so the numbers were different, but it was something), so I had some leverage. I said, “if you can get to 260k, I can accept today.” The recruiter had to clear it with someone (supposedly), but came back at 267.
