Amazon East Palo Alto Yay or Nay
Hi I am new graduate with 4 years of work experience in India. I got a following compensation from Amazon East Palo Alto. Total Compensation 178k Base 130k Sign on bonus 41k Stocks 65 units Should I accept it or should I ask for more?

Why? Why donât you go back to India then if you are suggesting him/her this? He/she would save a lot more and have a better standards with this compensation here than in India with a similar role

Care to elaborate? For someone with only 4-years experience, that too not in the US, why is this pretty low? (Am also guessing OP has an Engineering Bachelor's degree, not a Masters. OP, pls correct if I'm mistaken)
This is a top SDE1 offer. Its just that as a fresh masters grad, you really cant be considered for SDE2. But if your 4 YOE is any good, you will make SDE2 in a year and will be a top tier performer so you will catch up soon enough.
Prepare to live up under a bridge and blanket and you will be fine.
Or hide out in IKEA across the street.
Decent enough. You can make a living if you are single. If not, your wife/partner needs to work to afford a decent living space
