Amazon Email Update Confusion

I am a New Grad and I gave my final interview at Amazon. I received an email stating that I am a good fit but they do not have open positions and are adding me to the wait list and will reach out once the status changes. And I should be remain in the wait list If I want to accept the Amazon offer until it clears out. TC: 0$. Before any questions: I didn't get any return offer at Facebook :(.
