Who in engineering or product thought it was a brilliant idea to remove screen calibration from the device? It's present on the Fire Stick 1, Fire TV 1&2... But not the Fire Stick 2
Since 90% of Amazon subtitles are grossly out of sync with their video, they obviously don't care about user experience.
The screen calibration feature was more trouble than it's worth. It puts a huge load on that little device to constantly resample the image. The result was often audio and video being out of sync. I struggled with this for months then I turned off the screen calibration seeing, and immediately the audio was back in sync.
