I’m a fresh university graduate looking to apply at amazon in Seattle. Sde requires degree + 3 yrs, their university tech full time page only has 24 listings total, none of which are in Seattle. What am I missing? Would someone like to refer me? :3 v- at msft for nearly 5 years

- Amazon odVN70You've been at Microsoft for 5 years? Why are you looking for university graduate positions?
- Not exactly sure but I am guessing a lot of *big* companies have a specific quota for new graduate roles. Generally, the time to apply is roughly between August and December. Some companies specify a hard deadline and some just remove the job posting. This is just generalizing of course
- IBM / Eng HGKE00Can't speak to the specifics on Amazon's University hires, but generally if you honestly meet or exceed more than half the requirements, especially 75% or more, just apply.
Worst case you don't hear back. Best case you get an interview. If they like you but you don't meet the actual (not the posted) requirements, they can still find or make a position for you. Everything's flexible for quality candidates.
Also always be confident, but not arrogant. Spin your downsides as positives. Lack of experience = 'no bad habits', 'eager for a challenge', 'itching to prove yourself', etc.
