I haven’t done shit today!
friends of mine got ~200k TC(SF) offers just fresh out of college. Your offer sounds like mid L4 band
That's really high. I think the location is important here. OP is in Seattle.
That's why I indicated the location too.
According to levels.fyi, it sounds reasonable for the level, but might be low with your YOE imo.
Believe it or not I can account for top of band for L5 is 250kish. There are always exceptions. But please realize that 30% of the comp on levels.fyi is complete bullshit. Anyone can post what ever numbers they want for any position.
Have seen many L5 offers on blind around 270 280 290 and even 1 at 300k.
I have made L5 offers that are outside the L5 band, hr calls it’s exceptions. The HM needs to go to compensation and define the reasons for exception and get it approved by your direct L8. What is sad for these folks is that the reason for exception better be that they are on a quick path to the next level. Because if they are not, they will be scratching their head why they don’t get an increase in base or stock at review time.
Very less pay. Get more offers and negotiate.
