Amazon L6 vs Google T6 vs Facebook E6
Amazon recruiter keep telling me it’s the same level, while levels.fyi doesn’t. I have offer for E6 and waiting for google, should I bother interviewing for Amazon L6?

Google’s levels are down one level from Amazon so a 6 at Google should be a 7 at Amazon. Good luck with the search.

I'm surprised recruiter would just outright lie like that. FYI even if you get L7 from amazon (which would be L6 at google and E6 at FB), they will not pay you as much. They don't due refreshers or bonus.
This is common. Not lying but pursuing. Amazon L6 is considered Principal everywhere else according to their recruiter.
I don't think that's true. Recruiters know staff at google is principle at amazon. They would have to be really bad at job if they didn't.
I think this is more nuanced. IMO Amazon L6 falls somewhere between FB E5 and E6. Similarly Amazon L7 is somewhere between FB L6 and L7, but closer to L7. Recruiter will say whatever will get you to sign an offer. It's your job to discount appropriately. Also, why are you asking about G L6? That isn't relevant to your decision, is it?
That's just what amazon says since promotions are so hard, and they downlevel everyone (20yoe, yeah we will make you L5 offer...). If L6 falls between E5-E6 then amzn WAY underpays people.
Amazon downlevel and pays low but you work because the stock will keep doubling every 2 years.
Your recruiter is an idiot or lying to you. Pick one.
Kool aid is strong at Amazon. Jeff Dean would land L5 at Amazon. Their L5 is Principal+ at Google.

Every case is unique but the internal guidelines in Facebook is that Facebook levels are equivalent to google and amazon is one level off. Google L5 is Facebook E5. Amazon E6 would be Facebook E5.
Are you reading the same guidelines as I am? The ones I read claim Amazon E6 can map to either E5 or E6 at FB
It depends on the experience of the candidate - so yes it’s possible for an amazon L6 to get a E6 offer but it’s not common. The interview loop also has to be setup to get signals for an E6
No don't bother with Amazon. They told me their l5 is fb e5... With over 130k diff in tc. But you probably wanna have multiple offers to negotiate
