Amazon SDE compensation
I started working 2 years back, I had offers from Amazon and Microsoft for Seattle in 2016. I decided to go with Microsoft. Here is the comparison of offers I received and growth in Microsoft- Component/Amazon/Microsoft RSU/53k /60k (better vesting 25/25/25/25 in 3.5yrs) Joining bonus/49k/35k(split in 2yrs) Base/100k/106k My base changed almost every 6 months since joining 106k -> 114k (promo to 60) -> 119k (annual hike)-> 129k (promo to 61). And got 18k cash bonus, 8k stocks in 2017. Expecting good numbers this year too because of promotion. I’m wondering what would have been my TC if I would have joined Amazon. Can someone from Amazon who joined 2 years back as level 4 new grad and got promoted to level 5 this year confirm their compensation and stocks received so far?
Mine is very similar to trollking: Joined late 2015, promoted mid last year, TC 2018 216k and tracking similar TC for 2019 Amazon stock appreciation beats msft hands down.
So level 5 amazon employees get approx 80k stocks vested every year?
Not every year, but when the stock price booms which it has been for last few years
I joined in late 2015. Got promoted last year to L5. TC when joining 95k + 53k stock, 50k ish sign on TC 2018 210k (because of stock appreciation) base 130k ish
