I have an on-site for Amazon, and one of the interviewers according to the schedule is a software development manager (who leads the team). Is this interview round going to be different from the others?
If that’s the only SDM in the loop, he or she may be the HM or acting HM for the loop. Typically the focus is system design as mentioned previously.
Can the SDM for the team I'm being interviewed for be the bar raiser?
It’s possible. My experience with loops is there is always the HM or an acting HM in the loop. They can’t also be the BR. I interview for SDM and TPM job families though, so...
Probably more behavioral question. Make sure you know the answer for leadership principal.
If for an SDE1 then he or she may just ask behavioral questions, that was my experience. But as others have said at higher levels the HM will ask system design
I think I'm applying for SDE1, not sure. The title in the recruiter mails don't have a number attached for sure.
Does the title mention junior or senior SDE? That can also be a good indicator. Just SDE job title would typically be SDE2 by job designation.

Why are women naked in gym?
Maybe? For me, SDM did the system design round.
Same thing. 10 mins leadership principles and rest of the interview was system design.
^^ For what position?
