Amazon SDE2 to equivalent outside engineering positions
If getting promoted to SDE2 in Amazon soon, is it hard to move to LinkedIn/Lyft/Google/FB/tier1 companies without getting downleveled? Currently with only 1.5 yoe and considering a switch after promotion happens.
I think most places equate that to l4 at Max.. If yoe is more than 2-3.. then l4 will work
Does that mean I need to stay within Amazon for another year or so before I could jump to another company at the same position level?
No harm in trying.. if you don't get it then wait.. l3 to l4 usually takes 1-1.5 year in Google at least
