Any insight to compensation structure and job satisfaction?
Seattle - L6 TPM, TC: 200-250 (160k is top base salary) Job satisfaction = 0.5 (scale 1-5), but could vary between teams.
TPM 3 (L6) pay is about 10% less than SDE 3 (also L6). Depending on location can be up to 310k total TC or so. The job experience and tasks vary depending on org.

Job satisfaction totally dependent team to team and why you like project management. Tpm is very much internal engineering project management, it is not overall product with external interfaces

I am a Sr TPM, my TC has been $300k for last two years. But also because I am in my 4th year of vesting stocks. Base pay is $160k. Job satisfaction is dependent on team. Depending on if they think your job is to schedule meetings only or contribute more.

And it usually reports to engineering and therefore has an established career path to an SDM.
