I was wondering if anyone knows how much time it takes for Amazon Luxembourg to get back to you? I’ve applied in April and in May and my applications are still outstanding. I am not an EU citizen. Thanks.
It depends on the HM/if they are interested. I found out within 2 days of submitting my application whereas another role, I never did.
I am applying for a job in Lux but I am from the states. Couple of years ago i interviewed with Amazon in Seattle and they got to me pretty fast; not sure if it takes longer since I applied for a job in a different country.
I came Seattle to a role in Luxembourg.
Did you do a full loop already or just a phone screen? They should have gotten back to you by now. Probably they rejected you for the role you applied for and they are not recycling your application for other roles. Either that or maybe something weird going on with the finance approval for the HC.
I haven’t heard back from HR yet and I didn’t have a phone interview; it is very strange. A former coworker that works in finance in Seattle said that he interviewed 6 months after applying. Seems like the process is pretty slow in finance. One role is fin manager and another role is senior fp&a analyst. Does anyone have any experience getting a job with Amazon Luxembourg from the states?
Tbh I think they keep you « just in case » they don’t find anyone with an EU country citizenship. Any non European working around me in Lux either work or studied in Europe before, or were already in Amazon. Chance to get an interview and to be hired is really low unless it is L6 or more.
Is L6 director level or senior manager?
Is Luxembourg regarded as the best development location in EU for Amazon ? How's the pay for an entry level SDE ?
Curious, why do you want to get in Lux if you are in the US and American?
I want to move because of my family and it just seems to hard to land an interview. I know that US has more opportunities and pays better than many EU countries but that doesn’t matter to me.
I just went through something similar. Applied from US to a position in London/Lux (my choice) and I heard back the next day. The pay is much much lower outside the US though.
Have you accepted the offer and did you have any referral?
No referral. I turned down the offer and decided to look for a position with them in the US due to wage & tax differences.
