Amazon hiring: SDET or QA with strong coding background.
The role is for Sdet1/2, or a QAE2 with strong coding background. Transition path from QA to SDET can be an option/ planned if candidate showcases they meet the SDET role guidlines.

I had an interview for sdet. Not so easy phone screen. Be medium LC prepared folks.
Yup LC mediums are big help, in general amazon interviews are more focused on BFS/DFS of 2D, 3D, tree and graph
Sdet is really good at amazon. Bar for coding is same as SDE. Only difference is design round. There are oy 700 SDETs in entire amazon so if u dont do well they will down level u to QAE
To be honest, SDET is sort of weird. Bar is basically the same as SDE. Pay is slightly less. Software stack is way bigger. Growth path is way harder - SDETs rarely deal with technical complexity nor impact to get L6 (unless you develop some tool and sell it all in the addition to your work). L6 is a dead end pretty much, as there are like 3 L7 SDETs in the whole company.
4 L7s, and career growth is to eventually become SDM and grow upon that. Rest of it is True
