So this is how it went.

Manager called, told what team it is and asked my work exp and couple of questions regarding distributed systems, said “COOL” for every thing I said and hung up the call. Now scheduling the phone interview.

Start quizzing them on leadership principles.

Informational interviews are still interviews, but you’re judged on the quality of your questions. Ask questions related to your role that show you really know how to do it, not that everything you know is from a book. Also, have an awesome elevator pitch together.

Informational call or an actual interview? For interview I’d say expect questions related to the Leadership Principles. If it’s just informational then I’d expect them to do more of the talking. Ask what leadership principles stand out for this role/team and projects that they work on demonstrating those principles
