Realistically, how long should I stay with my current team to be seriously considered for other internal roles? Currently an aws cloud architect with Pro Serve and looking for Solutions Architect type roles. 5yeo, l5, 200TC
You can transfer Day 1 Many from ProServ are moving to SA romes since they're similar in scope without the productivity drive of billable hours. Realistically I think 6-9months in role, start looking and move maybe around 9-12 months in role. I think most people stay on a team for 18-24 months but I think 1 year is reasonable if you're looking for a switch. Then 2 years as an SA to be considered for L6.
