Recruiter told to prepare for leadership principles.

Suggestions please.

    Ping me.

When I interviewed, I collected and prepared a long list of questions from people who interviewed there. I couldn't make it, hope someone else can benefit from my hard work.

After I posted my previous comment, I received so many messages that I kept scrolling through my unread blind messages for 5mins but couldn't see the end of it. So apologies for not replying to everyone.

I am providing a few questions here:
      1. Tell me about a time when you led a team.
      2. Tell me how you handle conflict
      3. Tell me about a situation when the audience didn't agree with you

      Here are a few tips:
      1. Go through each leadership principle in detail. There are explanations provided on the website and videos on YouTube
      2. Prepare short stories around every principle. Don't memorize them, just remember the gist.
      3. Keep star format in mind. Go through YouTube videos to understand how to answer in that format.
      4. Remember, sometimes the leadership questions may not be completely behavioural but somewhat related to your domain. For example - tell me about a time when you wrote a very important piece of code. This question talks about the code which is technical, but tests what you consider as 'important'. And this relates directly to leadership principles like customer obsession or innovation etc.

      Best of luck.

And take it seriously. I didn't but they really live and breathe by them.

Understand, Except for costumer obsession, that most of them are contradictory. So you need to be able to balance your answer as not to complete be in one end of the spectrum.

Your strengths and weaknesses in terms of LPs is almost always a question. Generally 3 of each.

I was never asked anything directly about LPs. But I did make sure I tried to exemplify them in my responses to other questions. Frankly I was a little disappointed, because I took the time to make sure I could talk about each of them.

Try to have prepared STAR answers for situational/behavioral questions that are real, and that you can answer drill in questions on that relate to the principles. Listen to what is asked and be aware of how the question related to the principles

Every interview I had spent half of the time asking about principles BEFORE the technical part... They have a list of questions I believe and they just simply read it out loud, so I don’t think they live and breathe it. Anyway, very weird interview experience.

Think of examples that can incorporate several leadership principles. Think of 6-8 of these. Don't repeat same example over and over again

I think that played a big part in me getting an offer with them some time ago.
I was lucky to be able to come up with examples in the spot. I do recommend practicing given that experience
