Just got an offer for L5 at Amazon NYC: 250 TC 175 base sign-on 68/52 1st/2nd year 90 RSU vested 5, 15, 40, 40 How solid is that? What would be a good way to negotiate? Also, can someone explain their sign-on? Is it paid monthly or at the end of the year? I have an upcoming onsite with Google - I wonder if they potentially can beat it for 9 YoE?

I’m Sooo Happy about Biden signing TikTok ban bill today!!
Did you get 90 or 110 RSU?
Just 90. Is that too low?
L5 is what? Like 63 in MS?
Looks like so https://www.levels.fyi/SE/Amazon/Microsoft - they told me I didn't make it for L6.
Hmm
What would be reasonable?
Do you know if it's best to ask for what I want (280) or a bit more (say, 290-300) so they can lowball it to 280?
5+15+40+50=110 WTF am I missing Either way I don’t see 250 TC being sustained over 4 years.
Stupid typo on my side
usually more in the end due to stock growth
What exactly is the job for? What will you be doing at amazon or google? Programming, Lead, managing etc
Ah, my bad. I got an offer for an engineer.
Comp is pretty solid
I think you can ask for more RSUs. Which team if you don't mind?
Thanks! They didn't share much about the team due to NDA, some unreleased product.
What's that SDE3 or SDE2? Seems kind of low if it's SDE3, good if it's for SDE2.
It's SDE2. Did you see SDE2 > 300k?
"Amazon" Don't.
Looks pretty good. You can probably negotiate on RSUs a little bit
Thanks! Should I ask for RSU 90->100? Or should I ask for 270 TC and let them figure it?
