L4, 120 base, bonus 45/32, 58 stock units. I have 2 years of “transferable” experience Current TC 163 I already pressed for L5, not going to happen. A couple of questions: (yes I know blind has a search option) 1. Still not clear to me, do you get annual stock bonus at all or not? 2. How long does it take to get to L5? 3. Do you get base salary raise each year or not? 4. They tell me I’m a higher band L4. That sounds like such a bullshit to me. Is there such a thing as higher or lower band levels at Amazon? 5. Who makes up these numbers? Recruiter or HR?
Don’t accept until they accept ur conditions. They will bend . Ask for more money if they are not giving L4. Ask the same questions to HR and manager both.
You don’t get to speak to the HR, you speak to the recruiter. L4 is entry level position, usually not much power to negotiate but worth an attempt so you don’t feel guilty about what if
First yr total comp?
They are going to take atleast 1.5 years to promote you assuming u give ur top performance.
Honestly really good for an L4 level.. I know L5s who earn lesser
lesserly, maybe?
I suggest you try increase the base and have less bonus relatively, after the first 2 years you get a drop in salary if you didn't get your L5
That’s a good suggestion. I was thinking about the same thing.
nope it won’t go down, even if not promoted... year 3 tc: ~175k considering 15% increase in stock price each year But you’ll most likely get promoted by that time.
1. yes, depending on your performance rating 2. depends on your performance. between 1 year to never 3. not really. 2% max 4. yes of course there is a band , not every l4 earns the same
#4 I don't think he's talking about salary bands. I think he's talking about perf, and recruiter told him he's high L4 when there's no such thing LOL.
it might not be in phonetool or wherever but people are definitely categorized as for example "newly promoted" l4 vs "strong l4"
