Did everything right — coded up the optimal solution and even answered a followup with a multithreaded case. Seriously what more do u want guys? Feeling butthurt Would I be able to apply for other opportunities within Amazon?

It is not that simple. The interviewer is judging you based on your performance relative to other candidates that were asked the same question. The interviewers mood might also be in the play.

Same thing did very well and was hoping a on-site email next day - rejected for phone screen - not sure what these guys want ?
